White Booth Wednesday #55

It's #whiteboothwed, here's this week’s showcase.

Vehicle: Tesla Roadster With Starman
Series: 2019 HW SPACE
Boulevard rating: 10
What I like most: In my opinion, this version should've been released on the card with the special artwork. Aside from that, this is still a very cool release. The Starman in the driver seat is what ultimately made this a unique model to have. This aspect alone, is why I feel this release deserves the boulevard rating that I gave it.

So readers, what would be your rating for this release? Go ahead and let me know down in the comments. As always, happy diecast collecting!

Today on the Boulevard: Walgreens Exclusive Nova Wagon Gasser

Okay everyone, welcome back to the only boulevard where racing is legal. In case you didn't know, I never make store exclusive releases a priority. I found collecting to be way more fun this way. Now if I can find a certain exclusive release, then great. But if not, then that's also great. After all, I'm not collecting for the value of these 1:64 scale models. Now like the title mentions, I was able to find this year's Walgreens exclusive color of the '64 Nova Wagon Gasser.

Taking a look at all of this models aspects, has made me like this one more than the red one. I really like how the choice was made to make this exclusive recolor blue. Now when I first saw pictures of this recolor, I though it was finished in gloss blue. To my delight, Hot Wheels chose to give it a matte finish. And by now, you all should know how I feel about Hot Wheels releases that feature matte finishes. So ultimately, this choice of paint played a huge roll in my likeness of this recolor.

The colors used for this release's design, are mostly the same as the red release. However, the choice was made to change the color of the design's center section to orange. I personally like how it is now a completely different color than this Nova's exterior color. As you all know, this section is red on the first release. Despite that release's exterior being a slightly different shade of red, the center of the design was ultimate not that noticeable. At least... not as noticeable as this aspect on this release.

Once again the Hot Wheels 5SP wheels were used for this model. This time though, they were given a chrome finish. I don't really have a specific wheel color preference for this release, as black wheels would've been just as good as these chrome wheels in my opinion.

Alright readers, were you able to get your hands on this recolor? If so, what do you like the most about it? Go ahead and let me know your thoughts down in the comments section. That's all for this edition of Today on the Boulevard. Until next time, thanks for reading and happy collecting.

My Want List: 2020 Matchbox Mix F

Welcome to Diecast BLVD collectors. On today's edition of My Want List, I'm going to be sharing some of the vehicles that I wanted from this year's Matchbox mix F. For the most part, I was able to get everything I wanted. However, I was unable to get one specific vehicle. And I think you can probably guess which one it is. So there's no need for me to go any further with that. Besides... today is all about what I was thankfully able to get. So with that said, let's get today's review started.

I had to start with the vehicle that I was really looking forward to. And that Vehicle is the brand new C8 Corvette. The moment Chevy unveiled this mid engine Corvette, I knew right away that we were going to get a 1:64 scale version from one of Mattel's diecast brands. Now word on the street, is that Mattel's other brand is also going to be releasing some C8 goodness as well. But that's a story for a possible future review.

In general, most Corvettes look good in just about any color. But what I like about this C8, is how the decision was made to make it blue. Now obviously Matchbox is going to be releasing more of these in the future. So what I'm hoping for in a future release, is that they choose to use some of the other great colors that are available for the real car. Take Sebring Orange for example, I feel that would be an excellent choice for the next release.

Aside from the color choice, I also like the front and rear details that were applied to this C8 Corvette. It's great that these details weren't left out, as they add a great amount of realism this 1:64 scale model. The front end was given detailed headlights, a Corvette emblem, and black tampo grill details. The rear end was given detailed tail lights, "Corvette" applied in black, and a license plate that reads "CORVETTE." The sides were not given any details, but that is fine.

The Wheels given to this release are the Matchbox 5 Spoke Superfast Sport. It's too bad Matchbox doesn't have a split five spoke wheel like the Hot Wheels PR5s, as that would've made this model look even closer to it's real-life counterpart.

The next vehicle from this mix, is the '20 Jeep Gladiator. One of the things that I like about Mattel's two brands, is how they sometimes do the same vehicle. This give us collectors two different versions of the same vehicle to collect. And that just so happens to be the case with this Jeep. As you all know, Hot Wheels also has a '20 Jeep Gladiator casting in their lineup.

Matchbox's version of this Jeep, has two main features that are different from the Hot Wheels casting. And those features are what makes this a very cool model to have. This Gladiator's real-life counterpart features sections of it's body that are removable. So Matchbox decided to design their casting without it's roof and doors. The back half of this Jeep is where the next difference is seen. Unlike the Hot Wheels casting that has two dirt bikes in it's bed, this one features an empty bed with it's tailgate up.

For this release's color, Matchbox chose to make it match the first Hot Wheels Gladiator by making it red. Some of you might disagree with me, but I hope the next release of this casting is finished in a color that hasn't already been used for the Hot Wheels version. As cool as it is to have matching releases, it's also nice to have some variety among them as well.

The front and rear of this model were sadly not given any details. Front and rear details are always a nice touch, and it's a little disappointing that none were applied. Now not all is bad, as details were applied to the sides of this Jeep. It's sides feature the "Jeep" and "Rubicon" decals, as well as some additional details that include a tampo fender vent.

Another good thing about Matchbox doing their own versions of a certain vehicle, is that we get to see the vehicle with a different set of wheels. And for this release, the Matchbox designers decided to go with their five spoke off-road wheels.

The second release of the Polaris Slingshot is the next vehicle that was checked off of my want list. As I've mentioned in a past review, there are certain vehicles that make me truly appreciate the Matchbox brand. And this 1:64 scale Slingshot is one of them.

Since I haven't seen too many of these on the road where I live, I decided to pull up some pictures on Google. Based on a photos that I found, the overall appearance of this second release appears to be based on an actual option that's available for the real Slingshot. So basically, that's it's blue exterior color as well as the orange and black stripe design that was applied to it's top half.

I also like how Matchbox took the time to include the smaller details that are seen on the top half of the real vehicle. The two details are "Slingshot" and a tampo Polaris emblem.

The Matchbox designers chose to give this second release the same wheels as the first release. But this time, they are finished in black. The one in the picture that I found also had black wheels. This wheel color choice is another reason why I feel this release is based on a available option for the real Slingshot.

Up for a little fun in the sun? Then this next car is the perfect vehicle for you! The car in question, is the Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet. This is one Porsche that I didn't have in my collection, and I'm glad to finally have one. Now the casting itself is not new, but it was updated. Unlike this new version, the original one didn't have side rear view mirrors. If you've read some of my past reviews, then you already know that this is one aspect that I like to see. You can never have too much realism on a 1:64 scale model.

This release's best qualities are it's exterior/interior color scheme. For it's exterior, Matchbox chose to make it pearl white. And for the interior, they chose to make it beige. Now I'm not sure if this was an actual option for this model's real-life counterpart, but what I do know, is that the combination makes this model look luxurious.

The front end of this Porsche was given detailed headlights as well as the Porsche emblem. The rear end was given light details and the Carrera letter emblem.

The Matchbox 5 Spoke Superfast Sport are the wheels that were chosen for this release. The real car featured slanted five spoke wheels. Now since Matchbox doesn't have anything that looks like those, the wheels used for this release were the best possible choice.

Cruising on the boulevard next, is the Mazda MX-5 Miata. For specific reasons, I still like this casting a little better than the Hot Wheels one. So far, this is the third mainline release of this casting. The last mainline release before this one was in 2017. There was one released back in 2018, but I didn't get it due to it being in the 9 packs.

I actually like this third mainline release a little more than the first one. The second release was nice, but I never fully liked the wheels that were given to it. Thankfully that isn't the case with this release, as it was given the 5 Spoke Superfast Sport wheels like the first one.

Now the wheels just contributed to how much I like this release. What I truly like, is how they decided to give paint it a wonderful shade of metallic orange. I don't know how you feel about a orange Miata, but it was ultimately this color choice that made me like this release more than the first one. And I also feel it's what makes this a great model to have out and on display.

Completing this model nicely, are it's front and rear tampo details. They are basically the same as the ones given to the other releases of this casting. So basically, that's detailed headlights, detailed tail lights, emblems, and other bumper details. Aside from those, no other details were applied to this release.

The next vehicle is one that I was truly excited to see. The 1933 Plymouth Sedan is the next vehicle that was checked off my want list. This casting made it's debut back in 2018 and has had only two other mainline releases. Both of those releases were given a police car theme. Now yes, I do like service vehicles from Matchbox, but I also like plain vehicles as well. Especially when it's a vintage vehicle like this one. So long story short, the reason that I got excited when I found this release, was due to it being plain.

The main section of the body was finished in gloss dark blue. Like the first two releases, this too was given black fenders. This color combination is not bad at all, and I feel it makes this model have a period correct look. Since I obviously wasn't alive in the '30s, I'm not entirely sure which colors were available for the real '33 Plymouth Sedan. For me though, the dark blue used just looks right.

A silver tampo grill is the only additional detail given to this release. I won't lie, It would've been nice to as least see a silver tampo applied to the door handles. You know, just to add some more realism to the model.

Now I do have one tiny issue with this release. And that issue has to do with this one's base. The first two releases were given a plastic chrome base, while this one was given plastic grey base. I think we can all agree that the chrome base looks more realistic for this car.

The wheels given to this release are the Ringed Disk with a black outer rim. There's no way anyone should take issue with this wheel choice. The only two that look period correct on this model, are the Ringed Disk wheels and the Lace Wheels. Of course... you might disagree with me, which is absolutely fine.

Collecting diecast vehicles isn't just about acquiring cool looking models. The hobby itself can be somewhat educational as well. And that's the case with the 1956 Powell Sport Pickup from this mix. Before this release, I had never heard of this company before. Now I won't bore you with everything that I learned about the company that made this truck. But what I will say, is that the Powell brothers got their start making radios in the in the 1920's.

This release was given multiple aspects that make it a cool model to have. The exterior was finished in a yellow that might have been available for this casting's real-life counterpart. The red interior piece is the next aspect that contributed to how I feel about this release. Personally, this exterior/interior color scheme gives this model an authentic 1950's look.

I really like how Matchbox decided to not skip out on giving this model front and rear details. The front end was given detailed headlights, the Powell emblem, and a tampo coating for each section of the grill. Now the rear end was obviously given tail lights, but it's the other two details given to the rear that I really like. Those two details are as follows: a 1950's California license plate, and tampo diamond plating.

Helping to complete that 1950's look, are the Matchbox Ringed Disk wheels with a black outer rim. Black wheels were a great choice, but I also feel red wheels would have been great as well.

The next vehicle is the 1963 Austin Healey Roadster. This is one casting that I will always get. I mean... you already know how I feel about these kind of vehicles. After it's 2018 debut, this casting has now had a total of four releases. And all of them, including this one, are stellar models to have.

The folks over at Matchbox really know what they're doing when it comes to choosing a color for a classic vehicle like this. What I like, is how they chose to make this release dark green. Now I would say that this model's paint was British Racing Green, but when I search for the color, I get various pictures showing different shades of green. So I will leave that for you to decide.

This release has one aspect that I feel makes it somewhat better than the first two. And that's it's wheels. This release is the second one to feature the Matchbox Ringed Disk wheels with a black outer rim. This is a much better wheel choice than the Matchbox Split 10 Spoke wheels that were given to the first two releases.

Putting the finishing touches on this release's exterior, are it's front and rear details. These are the exact same as the ones that were applied to the previous releases of this casting.

One of the things that I've liked about this castings releases, is how each one was given a different interior color. For this release, the Matchbox designers decided to give it a black interior, which is the best color to go with it's exterior color in my opinion.

The last vehicle that was acquired, is the second mainline release of the '15 Mercedes-Benz G550. I absolutely love how the choice was made to once again use a matte finish. And what I like, is how they chose to use matte blue. To be honest, I wouldn't be disappointed if the next mainline release of this casting was also given a matte finish. I'm not sure how the overall diecast community feels about this type of paint, but I personally like how the G550 looks with it.

Once again front and rear details were applied to this casting. But there is one difference between this and the previous release. The difference has to do with the front of the spare tire cover. On the matte purple release, this section was just given a tampo Mercedes-Benz emblem. On this release, the front of tire cover received a blue tampo coating as well as the emblem.

This release features the same wheels that were given to the previous one, except this time, they are black with a chrome outer rim. Now yes, black wheels do look great on this model, but I do hope to eventually see one with chrome wheels.

Alright readers, those are all of the vehicles from this mix that I was able to check off of my want list. As I've mentioned, I'm still missing one. If I'm able to find it, I will definitely make a post about it. As always, if you have an opinion about the cars that were featured, feel free to let me know down in the comments. Until next time, thanks for reading and happy diecast collecting.

My Want List: Hot Wheels 2020 Case P - PT. 2

Okay collectors, welcome to part 2 of my 2020 case P want list review. Before I get started, I just want to say thank you for staying tuned. So without further ado, let's get thing's started.

I absolutely love when Hot Wheels makes iconic cartoon vehicles. With that said, the next vehicle that I wanted from this case, is none other than The Flinstones Flintmoile. All I can say is "Yabba dabba doo!" Throughout the years, this casting has had a few releases. And this appears to be the third mainline release of it. For me, this release is all about the nostalgia. The Flintstones was one of the many cartoons that I used to watch growing up. As such, this is one model that I just had to have.

Taking a look at all the previous releases of this vehicle, I came across the mainline release from 2014. For that particular release, the Hot Wheels designers made it's body colors look more realistic. The stone sections were grey, and the wood sections were brown. Now as cool as that is, I personally prefer the body colors used for this year's release more. With it's colors, I feel this one has more of a cartoonish look.

Flying high over Diecast BLVD, is the recolor of the Batcopter that's apart of this year's Batman mainline set. I don't know about you, but I love collecting all the various recolors of Batman's vehicles. Now obviously, the main thing that I like about this release is it's exterior color, which is a cool looking shade of purple. The exterior color was not the only thing that was changed. The black one that was released earlier this year, had multiple blue features. On this release, those features were changed to yellow. Till now, I had no idea that I'd like this color scheme on a Batman vehicle.

This model's colors aren't the only thing that's different from the black one. A blue stripe was applied to the front of the aforementioned release. For this recolor, the Hot Wheels designers decided to change it. Instead of a stripe, this model's front end now features a yellow Bat symbol. The black release with it's stripe is cool and all, but I really like how this model looks with the symbol.

Picture showing the first model and how it doesn't feature the Bat symbol

If you're not new to the boulevard, then you may have seen my 48th White Booth Wednesday. In that weekly showcase, I featured the blue '68 Shelby GT500 that's apart of this year's Hot Wheels flames mainline set. One of the things that I mentioned in that post, was how I wasn't going to initially get that one due to me seeing pictures of a purple recolor. Well that purple recolor is the next car that I got from this case. The shade of purple that was used, made this a totally awesome model to have. And I really like the pearlescent effect that it has as well. When a light is shined on it, the paint changes to blue.

The flames also got a color change too. On the blue release, they were a yellow that faded to gold. The flames on this recolor are still yellow, however, they now fade to orange. This color scheme combines so well with the pearlescent purple, and it helped to make this GT500 have a wild exterior. And I do mean that in a good way!

Once again the Hot Wheels 5SPs were used, except this time, they were finished in chrome. As you all know, the blue one was given gold wheels, which I never fully liked. As such, the chrome wheels on this release are one of the other aspects that made me want this one more than the blue one.

Debuting in this year's Nightburnerz mainline set, is the Porsche 914 Safari. This year has given us collectors some cool looking off-road vehicles. Earlier in the year, we got the awesome Big-Air Bel-Air and now we have this Porsche Safari.

This release's overall design is based on actual Porsche 914 race car. I'm a little disappointed with the decision to put this design on this casting. If they were going to replicate the number five Sunoco 914, then I feel it should have been done on the other Hot Wheels 914 casting. The aforementioned casting could've even been a great Team Transport release. A premium replica of the Sunoco Porsche would have ultimately given us a model with way more details as well.

Now that I got the design out of the way, I want to focus on the casting itself, which was designed with some great features. The roof features what appears to be a driver side spotlight and a roof rack. The back half of this casting features a spare wheel that appears to be apart of the interior piece. This casting's body also features two jerry cans. The one on the back over the spare was given a red tampo coating, so that's obviously for fuel. I'm not sure what the second one in the roof rack is for, since it was given a white tampo coating.

The Hot Wheels BAJA5s, are the wheels that were chosen for this release. It's a good thing Hot Wheels has this smaller off-road wheel in their lineup. Having them, allows the designers to make awesome smaller off-road vehicles like this.

By now, most of you should know that I really like cars with flame paint jobs, which is the main reason that I love the Hot Wheels flames mainline set. One of the vehicles in this year's Flames set, is a glorious '57 Plymouth Fury. This year's Plymouth Fury, just went from 100-1000 with the recolor featured in this case. I honestly thought it couldn't get any better than the white one, but it did! At least for me anyways.

Okay... so obviously there are multiple main things that I like about this release. First and foremost, it's exterior was finished in a great shade of blue. The recolored flame design is the next thing that I like about this one. The flames on this recolor are yellow, orange, and metallic blue. This is a awesome combination, and I really like the choice to make the outer section of the flames metallic. It creates a cool looking effect when a light is shined onto the design. The additional stripes on this model were changed to yellow, which looks nice over the blue that was used.

One of the other aspects that I liked about this year's Plymouth Fury, was how it was given the Hot Wheels DD8 wheels. And to my delight, they were once again used for this recolor. The outer rim was changed to chrome orange.

The windshield piece is the last aspect that received a color change. For this recolor, the Hot Wheels designers chose to make it yellow. This aspect for me, makes this casting just a little bit more exciting.

Up next, is a casting that I never though I was going to see in the mainline. Making is mainline debut in this year's Nightburnerz set, is the Mazda RX-3. As you all know, this awesome casting made it's debut in the first ever Car Culture assortment. Now that this car is in the mainline, collectors of all ages should now have a better chance at having this one in their collection.

So for this first release, the Hot Wheels designers decided to use a dark color similar to the JH1 release. Metallic dark green is the color they went with, and I think it's a great color for this casting.

This first release was also given a design that's similar to the themes featured on the first two premium releases of this casting. So basically, it features a racing number, a simple stripe design, and some decals. The decals featured on this model are as follows: Hot Wheels, Brembo, and Greddy. I think it was a great idea to utilize gold and black for the theme on this RX-3. This combination of colors goes so well with the dark green that was used for this model. The hood of this model was also given the theme. What I like, is how it features all of the aspects that were applied to the sides of this RX-3.

Being in the mainline, makes it so the Hot Wheels designers have more wheels to choose from when designing one of these. And I hope to see many future releases with different basic wheels. Now for this particular release, they chose to give it the DD8s with a chrome gold outer rim. These wheels look fantastic on so many castings and this is one of them.

So that's everything checked off of my 2020 case P want list. I really can't pick any favorites among them since they're all great releases. What I will say though, is that I'm interested in what the future holds for the Porsche 914 Safari. In my opinion, the next one should have a cool looking K&N theme.

So readers, did you have a favorite from this case? And what theme would you like to see on the next Porsche 914 Safari? Go ahead and let me know your thoughts down in the comments section. Until next time, thanks for reading and happy collecting!

My Want List: Hot Wheels 2020 Case P - PT. 1

Hello and welcome to Diecast BLVD. Like the title states, today's review is all about the vehicles that I wanted out of this year's Hot Wheels case P. This case is loaded with lots of great looking models. As such, I have decided to break this review up into multiple parts. So with that being said, let's get started with part 1.

The first vehicle for this review is the '70 Chevelle SS that's apart of this year's Screen Time Mainline set. This release is basically a replica of Dominic Toretto's red Chevelle. As you all know, Hot Wheels made a different '70 Chevelle casting for the Fast and Furious 1/4 Mile Muscle premium assortment. And Dom's red Chevelle was one of the vehicles released in that assortment. Since I already had the aforementioned car, I really didn't need to get this one. However, there is one simple reason as to why I got it. I wanted this casting with this theme. The theme being red with black stripes.

Now since this is a $1 mainline, it doesn't have the same level of detail as the other premium casting. It was however, given some okay details along it's sides. It's fenders feature this car's "SS" and "454" emblems. The doors were also give some details as well. No details were applied to the front or rear of this model.

The wheels given to this release are the Hot Wheels MC5s with a chrome outer rim. This was ultimately not a bad wheel choice for this release.

Earlier this year, Hot Wheels released Brian's Ford F-150 SVT Lightning in the Fast and Furious Motor City Muscle assortment. Like a lot of collectors out there, I was not able to add it to my collection. Thankfully, Hot Wheels decided to make a different '99 SVT Lightning casting for the mainline. And it's right at home in this year's Hot Wheels Hot Trucks mainline set. Even though it's not the same casting as the premium one, I still very much appreciate having a version of the truck in my collection.

This release's exterior was finished in a marvelous shade of metallic gold. Since the premium one is red, I really like the choice to make this mainline version's first release a different color. The color isn't the only thing that I like about the exterior. The front and sides of this model were given some nice details. The front was given detailed headlights as well as a detailed grill. The Ford emblem is also featured on the front. The details along it's sides are as follows: the "Lighting" fender emblem, the sides of the tail lights, and what appear to be implied step pad details.

All chrome MC5 wheels were the choice of wheel for this release. In my opinion, these basic wheels were the best possible choice for this casting. If you take a look at the real-life counterpart's wheels, then I think you'll agree with my opinion.

Now this casting has some other things that I like about it. Like the other version, this too was designed to have side rear view mirrors. I'm so glad this detail wasn't left out. Though trivial, I like how this mainline casting's side windows are down. On the pemium version, they are up.

The next vehicle that I wanted, was the recolor of the '20 Jeep Gladiator that's apart of this year's Baja Blazers mainline set. Desert tan is one of those colors that just works for a vehicle like this, which is why I knew right away that I was going to like this release. Unbeknownst to me at the time, was that Hot Wheels decided to make it flat desert tan. For those of you that didn't know, I really love Hot Wheels releases that feature a flat finish. I consider these models to be unique. This is due to the sheer number of models that are gloss or metallic. So right away, this became my current favorite release of this casting. Of course that could change in the future.

When it comes to the tampo details, this recolor features the same ones as the first color release. The front was once again given headlights/grill details. The sides still feature the "Rubicon" and "Jeep Gladiator" decals. Since the "Rubicon" decal has a red outline around each letter, I feel the decal itself looks much better over desert tan.

The wheels given to this recolor are the Hot Wheels BLOR wheels finished in grey. I actually don't have a issue with the decision to give it the same wheels as the first color. These wheels in my opinion, don't look too bad on this casting. Although I should mention, that I hope a future mainline release has different wheels. You know... just to switch things up a little.

Earlier this year, Hot Wheels shocked the collector world with the Speed Graphics release of the Nissan Silvia (S13). I'm still overjoyed with the release of it, and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for this casting. But for today, the spotlight is on this year's recolor. For this second color, the Hot Wheels design team decided to make it dark blue. Since I like most shades of blue, this was definitely a must get for me.

In terms of the design's colors, nothing appears to have been changed. This is totally fine by me, as I like this combination of gold and purple. And in my opinion, the combination look really good over the dark blue that was used. Like the first release, this too was not given any front end details. The rear end still has the same details as the first color.

Like the first color, this too is sporting the Hot Wheels lace wheels. Aside from these wheels being a great choice for this model, there is another reason as to why they are perfect for it. As you all know, this year's s13 release is based on an actual S13 Silvia that has Fifteen52 wheels. The Fifteen52 decal is even featured on this model. So that is why these wheels are the best choice for this particular release. I should also mention that they appear to be finished in a darker shade of gold than the one's on the first release. This is great because it makes them closer in color to the design.

Speeding onto the boulevard next, is the recolor of the '16 Lamborghini Centenario Roadster that's featured in this year's Hot Wheels Roadsters mainline set. A while back, I wrote a post called "Hot Wheels J Case Finds." One of the vehicles in that post was the white and red Centenario from that case. In that post, I made mention of how I felt this casting deserved a bright color. Well you could almost say that my prayers were answered, as this recolor was finished in a nice shade of red. I'm still hoping for a verde one, but for now, this will do.

This release has a few aspects that are basically the same as the white and red one released earlier this year. This of course is fine. The front and rear features the same tampo details. The Hot Wheels PR5s were used again, but this time, they were given a chrome finish. As cool as this model looks with chrome wheels, I do feel it would've look better with all black wheels.

The next vehicle is another great exotic. The model in question, is the '17 Pagani Huayra Roadster that's apart of this year's Hot Wheels Roadsters. There is also a Super Treasure Hunt version that I suspect most will want. I on the other hand, am totally fine with this regular version. I mean... if I find the Super, then great. But you know me, I don't make those a priority. I just simply like collecting cars and that's it. I have no interest in the potential value of any diecast model.

I really like what was done to this model's exterior. In case you didn't know, I really like how exotic cars look finished in bright colors. For me, a bright color helps to make these automotive works of art standout more. And I absolutely love the shade of metallic green that was chosen for this regular version. Shining a light onto this release makes me love it's paint even more.

This model was given details on it's front and rear. It's always nice to see added details that add a touch of realism. With that said, the front and rear were given accurately designed light details. Silver would-be emblems were applied to the passenger side of the rear. And the Hot Wheels logo was applied to the drivers side of the rear. The top of this release was given a design, and what I like, is how it's a simple set of black stripes.

The wheels on this model's real-life counterpart have fifteen spokes. Since Hot Wheels doesn't have a fifteen spoke basic wheel, they instead chose to give this release their ten spoke wheels. Despite being off by five, the overall shape of the spokes makes this the best possible wheel choice for this model. The wheel color is one thing that I would have done differently. Dark grey is not a bad wheel color for this this green Huayra, but I would have chose to make the wheels black.

Cruising onto the boulevard next, is the Custom Otto that's right at home in this year's Muscle Mania mainline set. I'm still very happy with the decision to put this casting into the mainline. As you all know, this is the third mainline color. And personally, I like it just as much as the Target Red Edition release. The reason for that, has to do with it's exterior color. This third release was finished in a nice blue. Now some of you might be thinking that that's the sole reason for why I like so much. After all, blue is my favorite color. However, there is another reason.

A while back, the Hot Wheels Collectors website had a special Custom Otto available for purchase. That Custom Otto was finished in a glorious looking shade of Spectraflame blue. Sadly, to this day, I still don't have any of those cars. So I think you can now understand why I feel the way I do about this release.

The wheels are another aspect that made me like this one a lot. The purple release, which I don't have, was given gold OH5s, while the Red Edition was given MC5s with a white outer rim. The wheels given to this blue release, are the Hot Wheels 5SPs finished in chrome. These wheels simply look fantastic on this model. All I can say is that nothing beats chrome five spoke wheels on a classic muscle car.

Like the other two releases, the main stripes on this one are white. The thin stripe is the only section of the design that got a color change. On this release, it's a shade of red that doesn't look bad over blue.

The interior is the last aspect that got a color change. Unlike the first two that were given bright interiors, this one was given a black interior.

The recolor of the '98 Honda Prelude from this year's Honda mainline set, is the next vehicle that was checked off my want list. This casting is another one of my favorite debuting models from the 2020 mainline. I still can't believe we have finally gotten this car.

This recolor has two main aspects that were changed. The first of those aspects, is obviously it's exterior color, which is now blue. I still remember how excited I was when I first saw pictures of this recolor over on Instagram. The interior color is the next aspect that was changed. For this release, it's black.

Unlike the silver release, this one's rear end was given some additional tampo details. The rear now features this car's "Prelude" and "DOHC VTEC" emblems. These details are one of this release's aspects that makes it slightly better than the silver one in my opinion.

The Hot Wheels PR5s were once again used. Although it would've been nice to see this recolor with a different wheel, I have no issue with them being used again.

Okay readers, that's a wrap for part 1 of this review. Do stay tuned for part 2, where I'll show the rest of my 2020 case P want list. Until then, happy diecast collecting!
