1:64 Scale GT And Union Diecast Racer

The Association

The 1:64 Scale GT is responsible for all of the racing that happens in and around Diecast BLVD. The main types of racing they govern are as follows: circuit, off-road, drag, drift, and rally. They also hold "Speed Challenge" time trial events twice a month.

Officially, the 1:64 Scale GT has three logos. The "red oval" is the main one that's used, and the other two are sometimes seen as decals on cars participating in their events.

Scandal And Lawsuit

In 2019, multiple diecast race teams reported unfair rulings from the 1:64 Scale GT. Red Bell and a few other teams reported that they were unjustly disqualified from various races due to modifications made to their cars. Star Ghost was even accused of tampering with another team's car, which led to them being banned from every 2019 race. Thanks to a whistleblower, it was brought to light that the top executives of the association were actually owners of their own diecast race teams, and they were doing things to make their teams win. The whistleblower also had a recording of an executive and his driver concocting a scheme to get Star Ghost banned.

Stafon and his race team were also caught up in the debacle. During the 2019 race season, RPM Starz was robbed of a first place win. On the last lap of a race, their driver received a black flag for cutting three corners. Of course, that wasn't true at all, and it was as clear as day to everyone in the audience. This gave the win to second place, which was none other than one of the teams owned by an executive.

After that incident, Stafon went to pay a visit his friend and owner of Red Bell. At the meeting, he brought up the idea of starting an alliance to take on the 1:64 Scale GT. And it didn't take long for Annabell to agree.

Combined, the two teams had enough funds and legal power to take on the association, but they felt they were going to need at least one more ally. So the two of them decided go and have a meeting with Robert Vance, since his team is the one that got banned from every 2019 race. At first, Star Ghost was opposed to the idea, but after a few days, they agreed to the idea of an alliance. That's when the Tri-Star Alliance was formed.

Union Diecast Racer was finally formed after five long months of meetings and phone calls. And immediately after its creation, the founding members with their lawyers launched a lawsuit against the 1:64 Scale GT, and won. Ultimately, the top executives lost their positions at the association, and their teams were permanently banned from all racing at Diecast BLVD.

New Leadership

In 2020, the remaining members of the 1:64 Scale GT decided to steer the association in a new and fairer direction. And the first thing they did was form a partnership with Union Diecast Racer. This was done to create a check and balance system. They have also implemented yearly background checks of all officials to make sure they don't have a financial stake in any race team. Furthermore, the union is allowed to elect qualified associates to work alongside the 1:64 Scale GT officials at each race.

Union Diecast Racer Membership

The three founding members, all of which hold permanent seats in the union, decided that if every team was allowed to join, they'd run the risk of letting in supporters of the old 1:64 Scale GT leaders. So each year there will be two additional seats open for teams to join. This is a temporary membership that will only last one year. After that, the seats will open back up on the first day of January.

If no new team decides to do what it takes to be a temporary member, then the previous two teams will be allowed to rejoin.

Besides the membership fee, all members (including the founding three) will have periodic background checks done on all associates. This will prevent the possibility of a spying and sabotage from a 1:64 Scale GT associate who might dislike the Union.

Logo And Decal

All members of the union will have a Union Diecast Racer logo with their team name. Their cars will also have a decal next to the 1:64 Scale GT decal. The founding members will have a special decal that features three stars in the upper corner of the decal. This indicates that they are a part of the Tri-Star Alliance.

Tri-Star Influence

To this day, the Tri-Star Alliance has a massive amount of influence in the world of motorsports at the boulevard, and they will frequently make their presence known. Doing so has kept racing at the boulevard fair.
