Trick or Treat (I got tricked LOL)

So in my past couple of days post, I talked about having two nice things coming in the mail. The two nice things were the brand new Team Transport. I was so excited to get these, but things did not work out so well. Walmart decided to send them in two separate bubble envelopes.

This led to them getting damaged. The good news is, I did get a full refund, but now I have to try and hunt down some replacements (fingers crossed). I will still do a post when I happen to find more.
Well anyways, Happy Halloween everyone!

Happy Halloween!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Halloween.

White booth Wednesday #3

A simple showcase of what I have. The white booth is my makeshift photo booth.

 Car: '96 Nissan 180SX Type X
Series: 2018 Nightburnerz
Cool factor: 10
What I like most: What can I say, the 180SX and the Yokohama Advan livery flawlessly combine to make a perfect drift build.

Wow what a day

Today's hunt has been one of the best in a long time. I decided it was time to check multiple stores, you know branch out a little. So the first stop was a Walmart. This one yielded nothing, so I moved on to the next stop which was a Walgreens. This store had two basic cars and some other empty pegs, so I once again moved on. Now here's where the fun began. My third stop was another Walmart, which I was able to find two more of the Car Culture Desert Rally trucks (yay!).

I was so stoked to get two more, and I have to say the '80 Dodge Power Wagon is a beast of a truck. The design on the '88 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is subtle, not to flashy, but you get the point when you see it. This '88 Jeep means business and it came to win the Desert Rally. That just leaves the Baja Bug that I have to find (fingers crossed). Now just when I was about to leave the row, an employee came with a push cart of things to put away. A small box was pulled and to my surprise it was full of these.

Score! I could not believe what I was seeing. I decided to wait till they were all put on the pegs before I grabbed one. This is one fantastic F-150 Raptor, and a welcomed addition to my Forza premium collection. Alright I said, onto the next stop, which so happened to be yet another Walmart. This stop also yielded some acquisitions. The first, are the last three Matchbox Moving Parts I was looking for.

Finally! I had been looking for the '83 Buick Riviera for so long. I'm also loving the color on the '65 Volkswagen Type 3 Fastback. When it comes to classic cars, I really like this particular blue. The next things I found were these two Fast Rewind cars from the Fast and Furious premium assortment.

Sweet! Now I just have to try and track down the last three from this assortment. Still as I like to say, something is better than nothing. At first I was on the fence about these, but after seeing them in person, I'm not anymore. The Skyline kind of grew on me after looking at it. I also figured that the Nissan Silvia (CSP311) is debuting, so why not get the first release of it. At this point I was getting hungry, so I went to a near by Albertsons for a snack.I then found the new Christmas set. As usual I didn't get the whole set, but I did want to keep up the recent tradition of getting the Happy New Year Carbonator.

This has been one heck of a day, especially since the last few times hunting have been a little dismal.
Okay that's all for today, do post a comment what your recent finds are. As always happy collecting everyone!

Afternoon score

Wasn't going to make a post today, because my morning hunt yielded nothing. As such, I don't want this blog to be all negative, but I do want it to be my real experience. With that said, I decided to go out to one more store with the hope of at least getting some kind of pictures and something to post about. So my wish granted, I was able to score the last three Matchbox R case cars I was looking for.

I really like how simple this Dodge D200 is, nothing over the top, just a simple two tone color scheme with a black stripe.

Next is this Polaris Slingshot, um... time for some fun in the sun I'll be back..................

Okay that was fun (lol), the last thing I needed from R case was this Matchbox 50th Anniversary Superfast gold Bmw I8. Alright, that's all for today and as always happy collecting!

Past couple of days............

Well there's been nothing new on my end in terms of retail hunting for the past couple of days. Also, I have not been able to find any Kroger family of stores exclusive colors. Not all is lost though, as I do have 2 nice things on the way in the mail to talk about. So stay tuned! Do post a comment about your recent store finds.

That's all for now, and as always happy collecting!

White booth Wednesday #2

Car: Flatbed King
Series: 2018 MBX Service
Cool factor: 8
What I like most: I really like the fact that the flatbed is able to slide back and tilt allowing cars to be loaded.

Three extra stops for this week

Had some free time this morning, so I decided to go on the hunt. The first stop was Walmart, but there was nothing new. My second stop was Target, which at first glance I though would yield nothing, that is until I walked past the half empty Matchbox pegs.

Score!

I found this Subaru SVX behind two other Matchbox cars on the pegs. The last stop was Ralph's. I remembered that the mail in promotion had started, so I decided to go look. Although I did find two already open shippers, the cars in them were old, so I left with nothing..... or so I thought, turns out the frozen pizzas were apart of a three day sale (yummy!), so I grabbed a few.

Do post a comment on if you've come across the Kroger family of stores exclusive colors or not. Happy hunting and good luck!

White booth Wednesday #1

A simple showcase of what I have. The white booth is my makeshift photo booth.

 Car: Lamborghini Reventon Roadster
Series: 2019 HW ROADSTERS
Cool factor: 9
What I like most: The Italian national color scheme and the fact that it's a Lamborghini roadster.

One more stop equalled a win!

I made the choice to check a couple of Walmart's today...... well lets just say it's business as usual. You either find really old cars, get lucky and find brand new cars, or show up just to stare at half full or empty walls. The first Walmart I stopped at had two cases of older Matchbox cars, I believe 2019 L case.

The next two Walmart's were not even worth taking pictures of because the bins in both had a huge mixture of 2019 J, K, N, P, and Q. The Q remnants were at the third stop with no zamac editions found. The walls were no better, half full with remnants. So I made one last stop at a near by Target and was able to score two Desert Rally cars.

So the hunt goes on for the other three, but I'm pleased to have found these two. As they say, something is better than nothing. Do post in the comments what your recent finds are and as always happy hunting and good luck!

Quick pit stop

Made a stop at my local target today, and to my surprise they filled up the pegs, but ultimately I left empty handed. The basic pegs were filled with 2019 P case so there was nothing I needed as I'm done with the 2019 basic assortment and waiting for the first 2020 assortment. They also had some of the new Hot Wheels ID series cars, but I'm not too into those (cough cough yet cough).

The next thing I noticed was the team transport, but I also did not need those as I am waiting for the assortment with the new Jaguar.

Well That's all for today and as always happy hunting and good luck!

Well that time again

Okay Hot Wheels collectors its that time again when Mattel wants our opinion on what cars to release for a mainline segment. The last couple of times I did the survey it was for the flames collection but this time it's for muscle mania. No way was I going to miss this one, because after a quick look at the list I saw some stunning choices that have not been released in a while. So which 10 did I pick you ask? Well to start the first one I chose was the AMC Rebel Machine then the other 9 are as follows: Shelby Cobra 427 S/C, 74 Brazilian Dodge Charger, 67 Oldsmobile 442, 65 Ford Galaxie, 69 Mercury Cyclone, 68 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S, 72 Ford Gran Torino Sport, 71 Plymouth Road Runner, and last but not least the Ion Motors Thresher. The cars I really hope make it at least are the AMC, Brazilian Charger, and the 442 as those cars are not often released. Now with the last car I don't know where it's from, but based off the image I would like to see what it would look like. Although in my opinion it does have similar body lines to the Blvd Bruiser. Do post in the comments what you picked and good luck!
