Hello, and welcome to today's post. For this year's mainline, Hot Wheels decided to make a Mattel Games themed set. There are a total of five different models, and all of them are representing a different Mattel made game. Initially, I had no plans to get any of the ones from this set. However, that all changed when I saw some of the castings that were picked.
One of the coolest ones from this set, is none other than the Rodger Dodger that's representing the Magic Eight Ball. To complete the theme, the base features a would-be Magic Eight Ball answer triangle. Furthermore, the designers chose to make a few different answer variations. This ultimately made this year's Rodger Dodger a very unique and fun release to collect.
Now then, since there are multiple versions, I decided to go on a magical quest to find as many different ones as I could. That quest has now come to an end, because they have now all magically disappeared. I'm not entirely sure how many versions there are in total, but according to one Ebay listing I found, there are ten. I didn't find that many, but I was able to find nine different ones, which are all pictured below.
I might not have found them, but I'm very happy with the ones I was able to get. Although it took some time, I can honestly say that I had a lot fun trying to track down the different answers. I really like how they decided to do this. Making different versions of a mainline release, is a one way to keep collecting fun.
