It's once again time for another Wednesday showcase here on the boulevard. Here's this week's featured vehicle.
Vehicle: Pikes Peak Celica
Brand Or Series: 1998 Hot Wheels First Editions
Boulevard Rating: 8
How I Feel About This Release: Back in August, Hot Wheels gave collectors a premium model of the '95 Celica GT-Four, and I'm sure we all agree that it's a marvelous casting. But it's not the first '90s Celica they've made. So I decided that it was time for the original casting to be in the spotlight again. Now, to be honest, this one isn't my all-time favorite release, and the reason why is because I have another one that I like just a tad bit more. However, this is a replica of a Pikes Peak car owned and driven by Rod Millen. So for that reason, this is still one of the best releases of the original Celica casting. Although, it is worth mentioning that Hot Wheels did eventually release a premium one that has a much better looking design on it. But I think this is still a great looking release nonetheless, especially when you consider the fact that it was made all the way back in 1998.
So how do you feel about this week's featured vehicle? Go ahead and let me know down in the comments. Till next time, happy collecting.
