Today wasn't a day for hunting, but I figured I would check one store. I'm glad I chose Target, because I was able to get two of the Car Culture Cruise Boulevard cars I wanted. I don't know when these were released, so there's no heads-up post for them. Both of them were behind some Star Wars Entertainment remnants. The first one I noticed was this.
Of course I would notice a Car Culture that's painted in my favorite color. Everything about this '69 Chevelle is done right. The metal flake blue paint with this stripe design, make this a flawless release. Based off the quarter panel section of the stripe, it appears to have the 454 engine. Added details like that, really bring a diecast car to life. These Torque Thrust style wheels in grey look fantastic on this release. Torque Thrust wheels on muscle cars go together like burgers and fries. Just one look, and this became my favorite '69 Chevelle SS 396. Okay, the next remnant I found was the 2014 Custom Mustang.
I sure most of you remember the Need for Speed movie. If not, then that's where this casting came from. I missed out on getting the Replica Entertainment release, but got the one from the Mustang set. I never fully liked it due to the yellow wheels. So inter this one from Car Culture. Just like the Chevelle, There's nothing wrong with this Mustang. Grabber orange is my favorite Mustang color. If this isn't grabber orange, then it's close enough. The stripes are what you'd expect to see on a Mustang. But for me, are what makes this one better than the release from the Mustang set. So the hunt goes on for the other three.
Okay thanks for stopping by, happy collecting everyone!
